Can we treat our stressors as our best friends in place of an arch enemy?

Our bright eyes can help us in doing that.
How do we look at our friends as we come across them?
There is a shine of welcome in our eyes.

And how do we look at our enemies as we come across them?
We either frown or we steal eyes.

That is what we generally do with our stressors. We try to avoid them. The more we try to avoid them, the more they cling to us... going on gaining strength in the process as we go on getting weaker and weaker.
What if we look at them face to face, eye to eye... welcoming with both?
They will immediately start saying their story to us, which we always ignored in the past.
The more we encourage them through listening to them single-mindedly, the more information they give us of the reasons they are sitting in our head for.
Can we do this as a practical with our headache?
