Eye pain is the end result of eye strain that we have become habitual of keeping inflicting on our eyes the way we live our life.
At times it is the pain behind the eye, at others it is a sharp pain in eye or an eye socket pain, and at still others it is headache and eye pain together.
But why do we strain our eyes?
We strain them because they are not seeing very clear what they are looking at.
In the very first place they were not seeing clear because they were already strained unconsciously.
By straining them further we unconsciously think that they will be able to see clearer.
But what happens is to the contrary.
The more blurred they see, the more they get tired in the unconscious pursuit of TRYING to see clear; and ultimately they start paining.
When we strain them, we do so by squeezing the muscles of eyebrows and eyelids, which are able to do so only when the two jaws distort their alignment squeezing the lips in different ways in the process.
We immediately rush to an ophthalmologist complaining of the pain that has gone more or less chronic with our eyes.
The ophthalmologist immediately prescribes a pair of spectacles for our eyes.
The spectacled eyes are able to see clear without straining the eyes further.
But the very first eye strain that had caused the very first eye pain gets permanently fixed behind the pair of spectacles that the eyes are wearing and always seeing through now.
It happens so because the unstrained eyes cannot see clear through a pair of lenses.
The immediate pain gets relieved but only at the cost of harboring two dull and tired eyes, which always keep tiring themselves further as they are bound to live with the amount of strain that the lenses they are wearing force them to keep exerting in order to see clear through them.
Now the question is why after all on earth do we squeeze our lips narrow, misalign our jaws turning the face ugly, frown or squeeze our eyebrows turning bright eyes dull, and squeeze our eyelids not only turning the bright eyes dull but also inviting wrinkles on the face and dark circles under eyes.
Why?
As I have been hinting toward since my last but one post, we do need looking deeper into the phenomena of interest and curiosity that we live our life with... or without!
