Positive thinking is a stress that turns our bright eyes dull.

Critical thinking and creative thinking suffer a setback as society teaches us how to think positive.

Why do we need thinking positive at all?
...Because in our ignorance we think we should think something of positive value that we are not naturally inclined to!

Or else we have already turned our thinking negative in an unnatural way, and the pursuit of thinking positive comes as a corrective measure to compensate for the wrong done to us by our own self!

In fact both the things mentioned above in the two preceding sentences are correct 50% each.
Let's take the second one first.
What has turned our thinking negative?
And can thinking positive undo the harms that are inflicted on our mind by this demon called negative thinking, or does it complicate the matter further?

What do we mean by negative thinking at all?
We shall go further deep into it...

Hello GB, society “needs” to think positive because it is so mired in negativity. Negativity to it is the natural state and for society an act is required to become positive. It doesn’t know that the action (mind) is the negativity, that our natural un-acted state is full of positive creativity. But that will mean the disappearance of the ego (individual) which is most painful to society. Quite a quandary this is, of its own making too, as you have stressed elsewhere in your posts!
In fact ‘positive thinkers’ are the most dangerous creatures on this planet – dangerous for themselves as well as for others!
What do you say?

GB, I used to think that religious nuts (zealots) are the most dangerous creatures on the planet. They are probably the most deluded positive thinkers, and you may be right there. But aren’t other positive thinkers, such as success and career positive thinkers, just deluded? Hundreds of millions of people are nowadays buying the book called “The Secret” which is all about positive thinking and what the book calls “The Law of Attraction”, you must know. These are all believers in positive thinking and I have several friends among them too.
