Sexual excitation imparts this energy to the mind along with the sparkle of a laser-like focus to the bright eyes in order to beat stress at its very root where it takes its birth. Only the mind should be able to hold it in. The more the excitation, the more the energy summoned up in the mind turning it highly aware of everything around! But alas, the mind also cannot keep it held up after a certain habitual threshold and falls into the trap of losing its awareness by getting discharged at a ridiculously low level.

Emotions prepare this trap for the mind keeping the energy of passion inhibited turning our mind energy-less through blurring the focus of its attention at one single point of action.
The mind must know how to retain passion as it gets filled with tremendous amounts of energy when it tends to focus on the joy of sexual excitation. For this purpose we need training its awareness in its sensual perception taking them all, one at a time.

1. Do you feel the touch of your breath when you take it in? ... And also when you take it out? Sit quiet and feel the both passing through your nostrils to your lungs and back; and before long your mind will start to calm down increasing its awareness manifolds!

2. Give a soft touch to one of your own body parts. Where do you feel the touch - in the body part only or in your hands as well? Feel both the touches simultaneously and you will have increased your awareness tremendously!

3. This time give a soft touch to an inanimate object. Your hand is sensing the touch of the object. Now can you imagine transforming into the object yourself, feeling the touch of your hand as well? A great awareness booster!

4. Do you feel the touch of others' hands while shaking hands with them? And while doing so, can you also feel the touch of your own hand from the perspective of others? Do it and increase your awareness!

5. Undress yourself and sit in a chair. Feel the touch between the body and the chair. Are both the buttocks exerting equal pressure on the seat? You will discover it not to be so. Equalize the two, re-equalizing f overdone to either of the sides. Before long you will find yourself sliding in a tranquil state of mind, which is going to be highly aware of everything around.
The technique belongs to Tibet from where spiritual practitioners brought it to the world outside from inside that idyllic Shangri-La!

6. Mentally scan your body to find if it is having any sensation of an itch in any part of it. Surprisingly you will always find it in some part or the other. As you do, observe it there without scratching it at all. In a few moments it will disappear over there only to raise its head in another part of the body. Keep observing without doing anything and increase your awareness as much as you want!

7. The process of seeing is that of sensing the contrast between the object to be seen and the background around. The background can either be lighter or else darker than the object. I n both the cases can you see the background around the object appearing lighter (or darker, as the case may be) than the rest of the background. The object will start appearing darker (or lighter, as the case may be) than it did before.
This increases the visual awareness in a real effective way!

8. Hear the sounds falling into your ears, all together, as many as you can and you will wonder as to how large their number is, which you never paid attention to.
You will greatly increase your auditory awareness by this maneuver.

9. Have you ever tried to smell a stone? Yes, almost everything smells although it may do so much less in some things than the rest. Try smelling everything that you easily can and you will have developed a proverbial educated nose raising the level of your awareness beyond bounds!
